CIETAC Arbitration Rules 2024

globally, the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration
Commission (CIETAC) is top ranking. Foreigners are more than likely
to encounter the CIETAC rules when doing business in China.
The CIETAC Arbitration Rules were recently reformed and entered into force on 1 January 2024 and include several notable changes concerning, e.g. the digitalisation of CIETAC arbitration, interim awards, and the approach to ad hoc arbitration.
The Commentary also provides detailed information on arbitration in China from a legal and a cultural perspective, thereby making an important contribution to fostering understanding between Chinese and Western approach.
